  • Plant care:

Regular watering is crucial for Anthuriums to maintain their vibrancy. They prefer moist but not waterlogged soil, with a slight drying period between watering to prevent root rot. Good humidity is also crucial for Anthuriums, with the soil drying out halfway between fully watered and bone dry before rewatering. Low light will slow growth, dull the color, and produce fewer, smaller “flowers.” Place your anthuriums in a setting where they will receive at least 6 hours of bright indirect sunlight each day. to encourage leaf growth and healthy root development. Toxic to dogs and cats.

  • Planting:

Ideally it is best to plant in fall or spring, but it is possible to plant in the winter time as the lodgepole pine can tolerate a wide vary of temperatures. Avoid planting when the ground is frozen.  These trees are hearty but still don’t like the freezing temperatures when there roots are still establishing.  If planting in the winter time, to protect these young trees, use sticks or stakes to prop the tree up.  To prevent from freezing, wrap in a vinyl guard or tree wrap.

When planting, dig hole that is slightly wider than the trees root system and as deep as the roots go,  allowing the roots to go straight down in the hole so they can stretch out.

    Water:

When newly planted, water every couple days to keep soil moist but not soggy.  After a month, water weekly unless in rains or snows in the duration of that week.

    Prune:

Prune in dormancy season in the late winter or early spring.

    Sun:

Once planted, allow tree to get at least 4-6 hours of sun per day.

    Fertilize:

Fertilize trees monthly with a fertilizer rich in phosphorus to promote better root development.

    Tips

*Using filtered or Reverse Osmosis water for these trees is very much recommended!!

  • Planting:

Ideally it is best to plant in fall or spring, but it is possible to plant in the winter time.

When planting, dig hole that is slightly deeper than the trees root system, allowing the roots to go straight down in the hole so they can stretch out.

    Water:

When newly planted, water every couple days to keep soil moist but not soggy.  After a month, water weekly unless in rains or snows in the duration of that week.

    Sun:

Once planted, allow tree to get at least 4-6 hours of sun per day.

    Prune:

Prune in dormancy season in the spring or fall.

    Fertilize:

Fertilize trees monthly with a fertilizer rich in phosphorus to promote better root development.

    Tips

*Using filtered or Reverse Osmosis water for these trees is very much recommended!!
